About the Guest Expert 
Barney Davey is the author and publisher of the only book of its kind, How to Profit in the Art Print Market. His Art Print Issues blog covers news and views on the business of fine art prints. He also frequently blogs for Absolute Arts, one of the leading fine art sites for artists, collectors and patrons.
In a career spanning three decades, Barney has been intimately involved in the art print business. As a sales, art marketing and publishing executive for Decor magazine and its sister Decor Expo tradeshows, he consulted with hundreds of the industry's leading art publishers and self-published artists regarding their art marketing and advertising strategies.
As Director of Strategic Alliances for Pfingsten Publishing, parent company of Decor and Decor Expo, Barney successfully identified and negotiated with numerous companies seeking to create marketing synergies with the publication and the Decor Expo tradeshows. Those broad intensive experiences increased his already substantial knowledge of art print marketing and Internet marketing.
Barney's background includes work on publications in diverse fields including, retail art & framing, home decor, insurance, financial services, hospitality, travel, private clubs and child care services markets in sales, sales management and marketing.
